Morris Muter is the managing director of Millhouse Developments. Morris has been involved in property development for more than 30 years, beginning with the transformation his family’s successful DIY business into Sleekburn Estates, a company that has led the regeneration of many parts of Blyth. He started Millhouse in 1986 with investment from Viscount Devonport, who is now his equal partner in the business. Major projects that the company has been involved with include Tynemouth Station and Chase Farm in Blyth. Today, the company specialises mainly in residential conversions and refurbishments.
Through its sister company, Dysart Developments, Morris is the owner of Newcastle Business Park and is involved with Project Genesis, the regeneration of the Consett Steelworks site. With an unrivalled knowledge of the property business, both residential and commercial, Morris has an aptitude for sound projects and is always on the look-out for his next opportunity.
